Yummy Tasty Ribs on the Grill

Get ready to celebrate the purchase of your new manufactured home with some tasty ribs on the grill! All you need is enough ribs for the adults and children who will be attending the celebration. One rack of pork, beef or baby back ribs is plenty for 2-3 people. I say nothing beats the smell of tasty ribs on the grill.

And don’t forget a few side dishes and a delicious dessert. Invite your guests to bring something to the party if they feel like they want to contribute.  Everyone likes to share their favorite dish. You could suggest some potato salad and baked beans if need an idea. They go very well with BBQ! And, an Apple pie with some ice cream would make a great dessert! Make sure your propane tank is full is using a gas grill. If using a charcoal grill, be sure to purchase extra charcoal just in case more guests arrive unexpectedly.

Homemade BBQ Ribs Sauce

Here is a list of ingredients for a delicious rib sauce if you are thinking of making your own. Just omit or add any other ingredients to make your sauce unique!

 Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons minced chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 4 tablespoons distilled vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash salt

Directions

Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and onions and cook for 5 minutes, stirring, being careful not to burn them. Reduce the heat to low. Add the ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, chipotle peppers, vinegar (or less to taste), Worcestershire sauce, and salt and stir. Allow simmering for 20 minutes. Taste after simmering and add whatever ingredient it needs (more spice, more sugar, etc.) (Ree Drummond, all rights reserved)

Caution: When applying a sugar/tomato glaze to the ribs, to avoid burning all the ribs. Make the application sometime in the last 1/2 half hour.

Note: Correctly entertaining guests doesn’t mean you can just throw a rack of ribs over some hot coals or gas-heated rack. Most of all, the chef will need to keep an eye open when watching the grill. This is not a steak or hamburger party, folks. Authentic ribs are slow-smoked. And, ribs need to be attended to so they don’t burn.

Healthy Alternative to Tasty Ribs On The Grill!

Entertaining your guests while thinking healthy is easy. Furthermore, there are plenty of creative ways you can plan a healthy meal. You can indulge your guest’s taste buds with some skinless BBQ chicken or tasty veggie skewers. Some say it’s “healthy” without sacrificing taste. They will get BBQ along with everyone else. Also, easy party foods can be made without making your guests feel deprived.

Entertain Your Guests Outdoors

Whether you have a small patio area or a large backyard, entertaining your guests outdoors doesn’t have to be complicated. If it is a hot day, consider buying a nice large patio umbrella if you don’t already have it. An extra small patio idea could be as simple as a festive tablecloth with some bright-colored plates and tumblers. Last but not least, entertaining your guests at night can be a lot of fun too! Just use some clever outdoor lighting.

Happy housewarming. Enjoy and don’t forget to put the fire out if using charcoal or turn off the gas!
