A green home also helps protect and conserve our natural resources.

    Affordable Eco-friendly Prefab Homes

It just makes sense to invest your hard-earned money into something you own instead of lease. Did you know that apartments these days can rent for more than a house payment? Just think of all those years you could be paying on a prefab home that you own. And the payment could be considerably a lot less! Just reconsider your options.

Smaller prefab homes are very affordable. Why? Manufacturing homes waste fewer materials when building in a controlled environment. Do your due diligence before committing to a long-term apartment lease. Just think about the peace and quiet you will have in your new modern, eco-friendly prefab home.

Professionals build prefabs inside a huge building away from inclement weather in a safe environment. You can have your prefab home built to the stage of completion you need. 3 Great Space-Saving Ideas for the Home

We all know that over the years of living in the same home that we can accumulate a lot of things. Here are a few space-saving ideas you might find interesting to use for some things you just don’t want to part with but can’t quite find that little “extra space” to put it.

    Space-Saving Ideas for the Bedroom

Saving space in the bedroom is easy. You can furnish even the smallest of places in any bedroom with some stylish and functional modular bedroom furniture. It makes the room look and feels clutter-free, chic, and classy!

Hang shelves up high or use corner shelving for some DIY home decorating ideas. This will utilize your wall space while saving floor space. Purchase and hang wall sconces instead of table lamps. You can even use a nice decorative shelf by your bed as a nightstand. A murphy bed will save lots of space and give you more room in a very small bedroom. It’s super easy to do and you will be amazed at the difference in the space it creates. And, it makes cleaning the floor or carpet a lot easier as well!

    Utilize the Under Stairs Space

Everyone knows how space is lost under the stairs. I have seen some beautiful stair drawers and bookshelves used to save space. Need an extra half bath? Space under the stairs can even be utilized for an easily accessible bathroom.

    Space-Saving Ideas for the Kitchen

Space in the kitchen area seems to be gobbled up quickly. Especially with a large pizza and cookie baking pans. I don’t know about you, but large flat pans can be difficult to store in a small cupboard. I came across some under-the-cabinet drawers that were wide enough to take on even the biggest pan! Hang other pots and pans from an overhead rack instead of using all your cabinet space. If you are considering building a shipping container home as an option, these ideas would be great since space can be limited.

    Be Creative In Saving Space

There are so many ways to be creative if you just stop and think about it. You can go from room to room and realize the solution was right in front of your nose all along. Get rid of all unnecessary furnishings, nick-nacks, etc, first. Then, all you have to do is just take some time and effort to come up with some of your own ideas. I know it’s in you, so come on, let’s get going! Also, be sure to check out the beginner’s guide to home office decorating and these small living room decorating ideas.

Celebrate Your New Manufactured Home With Tasty Ribs on the Grill

    How To Cook Yummy BBQ

Yummy Tasty Ribs on the Grill

Get ready to celebrate the purchase of your new manufactured home with some tasty ribs on the grill! All you need is enough ribs for the adults and children who will be attending the celebration. One rack of pork, beef, or baby back ribs is plenty for 2-3 people. I say nothing beats the smell of tasty ribs on the grill.

And don’t forget a few side dishes and a delicious dessert. Invite your guests to bring something to the party if they feel like they want to contribute.  Everyone likes to share their favorite dish. You could suggest some potato salad and baked beans if need an idea. They go very well with BBQ! And, an Apple pie with some ice cream would make a great dessert! Make sure your propane tank is full is using a gas grill. If using a charcoal grill, be sure to purchase extra charcoal just in case more guests arrive unexpectedly.

    Homemade BBQ Ribs Sauce

Here is a list of ingredients for a delicious rib sauce if you are thinking of making your own. Just omit or add any other ingredients to make your sauce unique!

     Ingredients

    • 1 tablespoon canola oil
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 onion, diced
    • 1 cup ketchup
    • 1/3 cup molasses
    • 1/3 cup brown sugar
    • 4 tablespoons minced chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
    • 4 tablespoons distilled vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • Dash salt

    Directions

Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and onions and cook for 5 minutes, stirring, being careful not to burn them. Reduce the heat to low. Add the ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, chipotle peppers, vinegar (or less to taste), Worcestershire sauce, and salt and stir. Allow simmering for 20 minutes. Taste after simmering and add whatever ingredient it needs (more spice, more sugar, etc.) (Ree Drummond, all rights reserved)

Caution: When applying a sugar/tomato glaze to the ribs, to avoid burning all the ribs. Make the application sometime in the last 1/2 half hour.

Note: Correctly entertaining guests doesn’t mean you can just throw a rack of ribs over some hot coals or gas-heated rack. Most of all, the chef will need to keep an eye open when watching the grill. This is not a steak or hamburger party, folks. Authentic ribs are slow-smoked. And, ribs need to be attended to so they don’t burn.

Healthy Alternative to Tasty Ribs On The Grill!

Entertaining your guests while thinking healthy is easy. Furthermore, there are plenty of creative ways you can plan a healthy meal. You can indulge your guest’s taste buds with some skinless BBQ chicken or tasty veggie skewers. Some say it’s “healthy” without sacrificing taste. They will get BBQ along with everyone else. Also, easy party foods can be made without making your guests feel deprived.

    Entertain Your Guests Outdoors

Whether you have a small patio area or a large back yard, entertaining your guests outdoors doesn’t have to be complicated. If it is a hot day, consider buying a nice large patio umbrella if you don’t already have it. An extra small patio idea could be as simple as a festive tablecloth with some bright colored plates and tumblers. Last but not least, entertaining your guests at night can be a lot of fun too! Just use some clever outdoor lighting.

Happy housewarming. Enjoy and don’t forget to put the fire out if using charcoal or turn off the gas!
